ASSESSMENT OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY IN NEUROLOGICAL DISORDER PATIENTS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH QUALITY OF LIFE

Objectives: To assess the association between major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders and quality of life neurological disorder (brain tumour/brain disorder) patients.
 Methods: This study was conducted at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Malaysia, a tertiary referral centre hospital for patients. The cross-sectional design applied. Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview European Organization Research Treatment Cancer Quality Life Questionnaire were used in study.
 Results: A total 100 patients included study. found that Major correlated with almost all domains life, except nausea vomiting scores. Logistic regression showed emotional functioning pain related to disorder. Different also specific domains. leading associated mostly scales post traumatic stress panic lifetime current, agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive agoraphobia current social phobia (p < 0.05).
